Lithium-ion Battery Charging Requirements

1) Chargers for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) power systems differ from those for ordinary lithium batteries. The maximum termination charging voltage for an LFP power system is 3.65V*N (where N refers to the number of cells in the power system). The safe operating voltage range for an LFP power system is (2.6V*N)~(3.65V*N)V. Voltages below or above this range can cause instability and even accidents. Therefore, a dedicated charger is required, which adjusts the charging method according to the current state of the power system. 2) Avoid charging in high or low temperature environments. If the charging temperature is above or below the specified operating temperature (outside the 20℃~35℃ range), the battery's power supply time will be affected and reduced, meaning the charging amount will not reach the battery's actual capacity.
3) When charging a lithium iron phosphate power system, it should be charged according to the standard charging current. Excessive charging current can cause irreversible damage to the power system, and may even destroy it. Insufficient current will significantly prolong charging time and may even affect normal use. Generally, the charging current of the power system should be between 0.2C and 0.5C. When charging a lithium iron phosphate power system, it should be placed in an open, cool, and dry environment free of flammable materials to ensure a safe charging environment.

4) Before charging a lithium iron phosphate power supply system, ensure that the positive and negative terminals of the power supply system correspond to the positive and negative terminals of the charger's DC output terminal to ensure correct polarity connection and prevent short circuits during charging.

Battery Pack Storage Precautions

1) Storage temperature is 0℃~45℃ (optimal storage temperature is 15℃~25℃, store in a dry place). Battery pack performance is greatly affected by temperature, the most obvious manifestation of which is the change in battery pack capacity.

2) If the battery pack is not used for more than two months, please store it properly so that the battery is in a half-charged state (about 50% charge). First, charge the battery pack at 0.3C until the battery pack voltage is above 3.2V*N (N refers to the number of cells in series in the battery pack) (storage voltage is 3.2~3.35V (each cell in series in the battery pack). After confirming that it is fully charged, turn off the battery pack power supply and move the battery pack to a dry, ventilated indoor storage location, away from other hazardous materials. Note: Proper use and maintenance are essential to ensure the long-term reliable and stable operation of your power system. Improper operation or failure to follow usage requirements may cause equipment damage.

Special Reminder

1) Charging is strictly prohibited when the ambient temperature is below 0℃;
2) In environments with temperatures between 0-10℃, the charging current at the charging station must be controlled within 0.3C;
3) Charging should be stopped when the battery issues a high temperature warning or a single cell high voltage warning;
4) Please charge immediately when the battery capacity is low; over-discharge is strictly prohibited!
5) The battery pack must be charged within 24 hours after being fully discharged!
6) When not in use for an extended period, please charge the battery pack to at least 50% capacity before storage, and recharge the battery every two months.
