On December 13th, the "2023 China Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Industry Development Annual Conference," hosted by the Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Industry Alliance and organized by the New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute and New Strategy Mobile Robot Media, officially opened at the Mission Hills International Convention Center in Dongguan, Guangdong! Jinyuan Huanyu was invited to participate and showcased its products as a high-quality supply chain enterprise.
The theme of this year's annual meeting is "The Great Elephant Has No Form: Leaping Forward Against the Tide." The phrase "The Great Elephant Has No Form" comes from Lao Tzu's *Tao Te Ching*, meaning to avoid being overly deliberate or assertive, and to embrace diversity. The mobile robot industry is not confined to a single moment, a single event, or a limited perspective; rather, it is gradually revealing a diverse and ever-changing industry landscape.
In 2023, the pandemic subsided, but it brought both unknown uncertainties and intensified competition to the industry and all practitioners. However, it also brought more opportunities for exploration and the development of emerging industries. On the first day of the annual meeting, over 800 people from more than 400 companies within and outside the alliance gathered to discuss future development.
In 2023, the sales volume of AGV/AMR in China was approximately 22 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.5%, with approximately 115,000 robots sold, a year-on-year increase of 25%. The industry will move forward amidst twists and turns in 2024. During this process, companies must accurately position themselves and avoid blindly following trends. Homogeneous products, low-price competition, malicious smear campaigns, and counterfeiting are irrational competitive behaviors that will negatively impact the industry's development. Returning to rationality, companies should focus on doing valuable things, adhere to long-termism, return to the fundamentals of business operations, focus on core competencies, be cautious about entering unfamiliar fields, maintain a sense of awe, and remain true to their original aspirations. They should solidify their core competitiveness, safeguard their existing base before expanding outwards, and strive to grow the market, not just grab a piece of it.

At the annual meeting, the Alliance Standards Committee organized the release of two group standards. To date, the Alliance has completed the formulation of 16 group standards, which have had a significant impact on promoting the standardization and normalization of the industry. Going forward, the Alliance will continue to promote the formulation of relevant standards and simultaneously carry out standard dissemination work.
