The Belt and Road Initiative presents new opportunities for lithium batteries and robots to go global.

Release Date:2023 / 10 / 31

This month, the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held in Beijing, with leaders from more than 150 countries and organizations participating to jointly plan a new chapter for future development. The Belt and Road countries, with their large populations and vast markets, present new opportunities for lithium battery and robotics companies to expand overseas.

The Origin and Meaning of the "Belt and Road Initiative"

In September and October 2013, during his visits to Central Asia and Southeast Asia, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the major initiatives of jointly building the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road." These initiatives have since been commonly referred to as the "Belt and Road Initiative." The core essence of the "Belt and Road Initiative" is to adhere to the principles of consultation, joint construction, and shared benefits; promote infrastructure development and connectivity; strengthen economic policy coordination and development strategy alignment; promote coordinated and interconnected development; achieve common prosperity; and jointly build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Since 2022, the export structure of my country's lithium-ion battery products has been changing, with a decrease in the number of lithium-ion batteries used in consumer products and a rapid increase in the number of lithium-ion batteries used in power and energy storage. From January to September 2023, my country's cumulative lithium-ion battery exports reached US$48.605 billion, compared to US$34.9 billion in the same period of 2022, representing a year-on-year increase of 39%. Our company's energy storage lithium battery export orders have also shown a significant growth trend, and we have already exported to countries such as Jamaica, Colombia, Chile, the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa, solving the electricity difficulties of people in power-scarce regions around the world.
