Today marks 55 days until the opening of the Beijing Winter Olympics. All departments are working diligently to prepare for the Games and ensure their smooth operation. Our team at Jinyuan Huanyu is among them.
Following scientific and precise construction, the 30kW/38kW and 100kW/221kW energy storage systems provided by Jinyuan Huanyu, located in the Shougang Industrial Park in Beijing, have been successfully delivered and put into operation. These systems will provide a stable power supply for the equipment at the Winter Olympics Conference Center, improve power quality, suppress transients and surges in the power distribution system, provide uninterrupted power to critical equipment, and ensure the power safety of the conference center.
The energy storage systems designed in this project employ multiple measures to ensure their safe operation. The system uses high-safety lithium iron phosphate battery cells and is equipped with an automatic circuit breaker. The automatic safety devices can be operated manually, automatically, and remotely. The relay protection and automatic safety devices have bidirectional protection functions on both the distribution network side and the energy storage side, and include safety measures to prevent false tripping and failure to trip. The energy storage converter (PCS) is equipped with short-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, DC over/under voltage protection, overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, AC incoming phase sequence error protection, communication fault protection, cooling system protection, and anti-islanding protection. It features dynamic reactive power support, power quality regulation, and low-voltage ride-through capabilities, enabling emergency response to transient active power output and emergency support for transient voltage, resolving frequency fluctuations and voltage dips, and effectively maintaining the stable operation of the venue's power grid.
Currently, preparations for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics are proceeding smoothly. Tens of thousands of volunteers and the hospitable Chinese people will present the world with a spectacular winter sports extravaganza!
